This wine commands your attention from the first sip. Black cherry, blackberry and plum fruit with cocoa and earthy notes. The fruit is ripe and upfront, but there's bright acidity that lifts this wine, along with French oak that has been delivered to perfection.

I highly recommend this very smooth easy to drink red. I keep it for special occasions & visitors as it is just too good not to share.

Before moving to Australia, I had not heard of Dandelion Vineyards. I picked it up as a recommendation at a Vintage Cellars store. I like this wine, I like it a lot! I’ve long been a fan of classic Barossa Shiraz and this one seems to bring all of the classic elements together in a single bottle. This has the weight, range and savoury spice that is defines Barossa. Beyond that, there is a layered complexity is a rare in the wine world. Old vines and limited yields are likely part of the explanation, but the deluxe treatment of eighteen months in American oak adds an added dimension of complexity. The colour is deep, extending to the rim of the glass. The aromas are nuanced, blue fruits, smoky oak, savoury spice and when I first took a whiff, it reminded me of Christmas pudding like spiciness!
