Melbourne Food and Wine Festival Competition 2015

If the mere mention of the Melbourne Wine and Food Festivals whets your appetite, then follow us on Twitter at @Vintage_Cellars and tweet us a picture of your best food and wine combination with the #MFWF hashtag for a chance to win one of 5x double passes worth $380 to the wine events at the festival on the 28th, and who knows what journey your taste buds could be about to go on!

Melbourne is a mecca of culinary creativeness at the best of times, but the end of February and the beginning of March sees the city really come alive as food lovers, international superstar chefs and a bevy of the world’s most exciting wine producers come together for the annual Melbourne Food and Wine Festival (MFWF) open from the 27th of February to the 15th March.

The MFWF is one of the most hotly anticipated events in every food and wine lover’s calendar and is always a melting pot of culinary genius, cutting edge cooking displays and lip-smackingly tasty wines and other assorted beverages. The programme offers up some seriously decadent eating and drinking, but at the same time offers the humble foodie plenty of opportunities to try some of the city’s best restaurants at bargain basement prices through its Restaurant Express Signature Series.

The vast and varied festival programme is awash with truly unique events that are designed to titillate the taste buds. You can watch some of the country’s top Sommeliers pit their wits against each other in a duel-like wine off, taste the distinct cuisine of Ethiopia, or even learn how to make your own salami. We hope to see you there!
