I’m sipping on a glass of this while writing this note! Within the last ten years or so, Marlborough has become the world’s standard in Sauvignon Blanc. It’s easy to see why. For me, at the top of the short list of top producers is Spring Creek, makers of Rapaura. It's a family owned business that is doing all of the right things. They're very particular about fruit quality. You can't make great wine from lousy fruit! The Reserve range is the best of the best. It's an ultra-exuberant wine, bursting with passion fruit, guava and a zesty minerality that keeps it fresh on the palate. Think of it as an amped up version of the normal bottling. To summarise, it’s almost like it's an electric thing to drink!

This wine offers a rare minerality to Marlborough Savs. The reserve develops in complexity from their non reserve option, which is reflected in the price. The acid structure is refined and smooth. Although the wine lacks the typical brightness of a young Sav.

Great balanced wine, with good acidity. Was very drinkable and definitely got me on to Sauv Blancs!
